I would like to thank the Committee for the invitation to judge this show and for their excellent hospitality, I would particularly like to thank my steward for his work in ensuring the smooth running of the classes.  I would, of course, also like to thank the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity of going over a number of very good specimens.  On the whole eyes were dry and pigmentation was acceptable however movement was variable and a number of the exhibits would have benefitted considerably from a little more attention to their presentation. 

Puppy Dog  4 entries

1^st Korina Steiff (Taylor) - Well balanced cream of 8 months, attractive head, small well placed ears, excellent ribcage and bone.  Moved well at the front, rear needs to tighten up but he has time on his side!  Will be very interested to see how he matures BPD, BP

2^nd Rendel The One and Only (Rennie) - Larger upstanding shaded red of 11 months. Broad, flat skull with well placed ears. Masculine expression but not in the least overdone, good bone and ribcage, moved ok.  Just lost out to 1 on overall balance but one to watch for the future.

3^rd Sukura Midnight Shadow (Oakley)

1^st Rendel The One and Only (Rennie)

2^nd Sukura Midnight Shadow (Oakley) - 8 months old and full of life, plenty to like about this boy but just didn’t have the overall substance of 1 and slightly longer cast.  Nice clean eyes, pleasing expression, good pigmentation, moved well both ways

3^rd Towsushet Jack of Diamonds at Korina (Taylor)

Graduate Dog 1 entry

1^st Mactyke’s Macao (Williams) - Stood alone, upstanding red dog, between coats, pigment OK, pleasant expression, well placed ears, good spring of rib, slightly long coupled, moved ok at the front. 

Post Graduate Dog 3 entries, 1 abs

1^st He’s The One (Palmer) - Upstanding fawn dog of good size, broad flat skull, pigmentation acceptable for his colour, short coupled, well let down hocks, slightly narrow throughout moved OK

2^nd Korina Biffo The Bear at Desiree (Inglis) - Heavier type black dog, ear placement a little low and would prefer the ears smaller and thicker , very cobby, excellent colour, stood foresquare

Limit Dog 4 entries, 1 abs

1^st Kyong Kal-Q-Lator (Squires) - Plenty to like about this dog, Broad flat skull, masculine outlook but not overdone.  Excellent bone, good spring of rib, good tailset, moved ok, well presented and never stopped showing.  Would prefer smaller ears but his other qualities shone through to make him BD and RBiS pushed hard for BiS but the bitch just had the edge in overall construction and movement

2^nd King Soloman of Chow Dream with Siamdel (Flavell) - Heavier head, clean eyes, good ear set, good bone, good spring of rib, needs to body up a little. Moved OK

3^rd Roside Ringmaster at Chanako (Ross) 

Special Open AOC Dog 4 entries, 2 abs

1^st Sukura Midnight Shadow (Oakley) - Just had the edge over 2 in spring and depth of rib and overall balance.

2nd He’s The One (Palmer)  

Veteran Dog 2 entries, 1 abs

1^st Byhorn Hon-See (Williams) - 10yrs red dog, well balanced, good bone, pleasant expression when he used his ears, pigmentation ok for his age.  A little sluggish on the move – generally gave the impression that he would rather have stayed home. 

Puppy Bitch  4 entries, 1 abs

1^st Billabi’s China Star (Lee) - 9 months well balanced fawn, pleasing expression, pigmentation ok for colour, small thick well set ears, good bone for size, good spring of rib, good colour, short coupled, good tailset, moved well both ways once she settled. BPB, RBPiS

2^nd Willchow Cassandra (Williamson) - Pretty 8 months black bitch at her first show, very similar qualities to 1 but just lost out on overall substance – could easily change places on another day

3^rd Loyjean Trista (Rennie)

1^st Guanezhou Silk ’N’ Linen (Carr) – Very pretty upstanding 11 months red bitch, just changing coats, pleasing expression, good pigmentation, would prefer a little more bone and body, excellent reach of neck, good tailset, moved well both ways, should be one to watch as she matures

2^nd Santanica Ambers Angel Eyes (Southgate) – smaller very compact red bitch, just come out of puppy and still very much a baby. Beautiful head and expression, small thick well placed ears, plenty of bone, good tailset moved well.  Would prefer slightly longer ribcage and shorter couplings

3^rd Marsill Amber Blossom (Hill) 

Special Yearling Bitch – 4 entries, 1 abs

1^st Santanica Ambers Angel Eyes (Southgate)

2^nd Little Lily (O’Connor)  - Upstanding red bitch 20 months, between coats, adequate bone, good spring of rib and reach of neck, moved OK if a little wide at front, not showing herself to advantage today

3^rd Marshill Amber Blossom 

Novice Bitch 4 entries, 3 abs

1^st Marshill Amber Blossom – Stood alone, upstanding shaded red, between coats, expression a little masculine for me and would prefer slightly smaller ears, good bone and spring of rib. Moved ok 

Graduate Bitch 4 entries, 1 abs

1^st Akakuro Mystique at Mayjo (Willox) – Fawn bitch, attractive head, small well placed ears, pigmentation acceptable for colour, good bone, good spring of rib, short couplings good tailset.  Well up on toes and moved well both ways

2^nd Mayjo Dairsie (Willox) – Very pretty shaded red bitch, pleasant expression, well placed ears, just lacked the overall bone and substance of 1, slightly long cast, moved ok

3^rd Sukura Karabella (Oakley) 

Post Graduate Bitch 4 entries, 2 abs

1^st  Mayjo Dairsie (Willox)

2^nd Sukura Karabella (Oakley) – Broad flat skull, pleasing expression, would prefer smaller ears, plenty of bone, slightly slack in pastern, tailset a little low.  Not enjoying her day out, moved OK

Limit Bitch 4 entries, 1 abs

1^st Desiree Luck be a Lady (Reveley) – A bitch I have admired from the ringside and was not disappointed, broad flat skull, small thick well placed ears, lovely expression.  Good spring and length of rib, short coupled, good bone, excellent tailset.  Moved well.  Would benefit from more attention to her presentation.  RBB

2^nd Rendel Tilly Ann (Rennie) – Beautiful expression, well placed ears, good bone, would prefer more body, left all he coat at home .  Moved OK, will be interested to see how she matures

3^rd Lechan Shakira of Desiree 

Special Open AOC Bitch 4 entries, 1 abs

1^st Akakuro Mystique at Mayjo (Willox) – Little to choose between 1 and 2, but this bitch’s movement just tipped the scale

2^nd Billabi’s China Star (Lee) – preferred her pigmentation but would not settle on the move

3^rd Xianyang Mingyu (Palmer) 

Open Bitch 2 entries, 1 abs

1^st Marshill Flame Princess – Stood alone, upstanding red bitch, broad flat skull, pleasant expression when she used her ears, excellent pigmentation – best of the day.  Good bone, well placed shoulders, excellent fore-chest, good spring and length of rib, short coupled, well let down hocks stood four square.  Beautifully presented, never stopped showing, moved well both ways.  Not the most ‘glamorous’ bitch but her overall construction and movement won the day – a credit to her breeder/handler BB, BiS
